Swag Love

So, a little about moi....I make hand-made jewelry with clay and I hand-knit knitwear. This has been a passion of mine for over a year.

My husband, oddly enough, taught me how to make jewelry. And I have loved it ever since. It started with making necklaces and earrings for family at birthdays and Christmas. Everyone told me that I should sell them, but I just thought they were being nice. Finally I believed them, and now I sell jewelry at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SwagLove.

I had always admired those who could knit and I thought it was the coolest thing. So about a year ago, I finally decided to stop living on the sidelines and I taught myself how to knit. I started off with a 4 inch instructional paper and then graduated to books and patterns. Knitting is my true passion! I love the color and creativity. My knitwear is soon to be on http://www.etsy.com/.

I call my business Swag Love. Because that is pretty much the stuff I make, swag. And also because I am a Pirate! Swag Love also has a page on Facebook.

I think all of this has come to pass due to the economic stress we are under. So I can't be too down about the our economy, because otherwise I would never have learned these two arts.

And it is indeed true, Necessity is the Mother of Invention.

Vietnamese Bubble Tea

It's not a smoothy and its not a slushy, but its something in between and it has tapioca beads. Sounds crazy, but it is Crazy Good! My husband introduced me to this sweet delight and I have become addicted. And with much success, my friend, Jane, has newly joined this addiction club. Oh Vietnam!
